On Christmas Eve and on the day of the radiant feast of the Nativity of Christ, festive services were held in our church. The services were led by the rector of the parish, Archpriest Vadim Zakrevsky.

On the Vigil of the Nativity of Christ, January 6, during the litia, the loaves were blessed in accordance with the Typikon.

On the day of the feast of the Nativity of Christ, January 7, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated, during which Father Vadim delivered a sermon, emphasizing that this is the most important event in world history, which changed both the destinies of nations and the life of every individual person, until the end of time.

After the service, the children’s choir deeply moved everyone with its performance of festive hymns. It should be noted that, in addition to church hymns, the choir also has other works in its repertoire.

Note: Most of the photographs used are by Aleksandra Shevchuk. On my iPad Pro 2022 running iPadOS 18.6.2, the attached video files of the choir do not open; however, on a desktop computer with Windows 10, everything opens correctly.

Commenting on the photographs that you see at the level of this paragraph, by their content, by the mercy of God, one may hope for a bright future for our parish.

After the service, Christmas gifts were presented to the children with the participation of Ded Moroz, and the breaking of the fast took place in the lower hall.

The breaking of the fast took place in a very sincere atmosphere which, according to the parishioners, was “practically like at home.” And if the spiritual “nourishment” of this gathering was formed by the festive services, then the care for bodily nourishment rested on the shoulders of Matushka Natalia, resulting from her efforts in an abundance of dishes and drinks on the праздничный table, including appetizers, hot dishes, and desserts.
